Warranty and Repair - Chef Works

 

As stated on the page of the warranty and repair page, in order for a warranty claim to be made, it must in fact be a manufacturing fault.

For example, if you get a crack in an item because of a stress fracture that has occurred because something went wrong in the tempering of the steel - that would be considered a manufacturing fault. Generally speaking, when a fault occurs there would be characteristics that the manufacturer would look for to see that it is a genuine warranty claim.
Manufacturers will not replace an item that in their view was not a result of a manufacturing issue but rather caused by damage through inappropriate use or lack of care.
In every case, King of Knives only serves as the conduit.
We are always happy to try and help.
It is also important to note that some of the factories will insist on a receipt being included in the return to determine that the product was in fact purchased in Australia.

Warranty Claims

 

The exception to the exchange/replacement of worn or used products, which were originally purchased from Chef Works Australia (or its resellers), apply only in the event that:

the purchased Chef Works items are found to be faulty or defective; and
the fault or defect can be reasonably attributed to the time of manufacturing.

    The determination of eligibility for returns or exchange under warranty will lie solely with Chef Works Australia. Once it is determined that the customer is eligible for warranty, the cost of the replacement goods, the shipping and the cost of the return shipping of the defective item will be at the cost of Chef Works Australia.

    If you purchased your items from one of our trusted distributors, please provide us with a copy of their invoice.
    We are unable to accept returns if the items were purchased from a third party on your behalf.
    30 days free returns* means that Chef Works Australia will bear the cost of the return postage to the customer once the exchange has been made.
