Inspired by the captivating artworks of Maria Sibylla Merian, the Merian Fruit Bowl draws from three of her detailed botanical illustrations. Featuring an intricate combination of the Papilio nestor butterfly, Punica granatum (pomegranate), the Eurasian goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis), a fig, and a branch of Citrus aurantium (bitter orange), this piece is a celebration of natureÕs beauty.

At the centre, the ÔGoldfinch on a branch bearing Fig-like fruit,Õ from MerianÕs Drawings of Surinam Insects and Amphibians, brings her love of flora and fauna to life.
