Whether tackling that postprandial cheese spread, or just a little peckish for a Welsh rarebit, this good-looking trio of cheese knives will stand you in good stead.

The pronged knife, with its elm leaf handle and rhinoceros-like upward pointing spikes, is a multipurpose tool that deals with cheeses from soft Bries and Muensters to semi-hard Parmesans. The flat spade-like chisel knife, with its chestnut leaf handle, works through semi-soft to semi-hard cheeses like Swiss, Gruyere and Asiago. Oak leaves decorate the handle of the cheese fork, handy for spearing cut pieces, or breaking up blocks of hard Cheddar, Manchego or Pecorino Romano.

The three-knife set is presented in a wood caddy.
